Hi Everyone.
I am just trying to investigate an issue with our CI 656 on a Fiat Ducato base.
There is a CD/Radio system connected to the leisure battery side of the Van which is doing funny things. When the van is on-site and running from battery, the radio works perfectly and the battery output is a constant 12v...
But when the van is plugged into 230v mains and obviously charging the 12v system at the same time, the screen is constantly flicking up and down in brightness a bit like a light show.. It doesn't do it right away either, about 1min after being plugged into 240v.. But stops the second the mains power is unplugged.
When plugged in the battery is reading a constant 13v which I believe is correct for a charging battery.

The sound doesn't seem to be affected by this fault though, but it is never at any real volume to tell.
So it would seem all is working normal, however I am worried what damage this might be doing to the radio etc etc.

Can someone maybe point me in the right direction to getting this fixed?

Cheers
Chris

Hmmmm - youve got me thinking, here. Ive literally just yesterday replaced our hab. radio as it went funny. I wonder if the 230v (through the EHU) caused this as well?

Maybe, I only noticed this on mine as the display on the radio flickers...

Is there some sort of regulator that i can buy to put inline to the radio so it gets a constant feed of power?

I have spoken to an auto spark today and they sold me a 12v suppressor to put inline which should fix it aparantly.
