Hi All,

Just purchased the Khyam Tourer awning,  it has the quick erect system... BUT....

what the heck are those instructions about!!!!  they just do not make sense and the images are AWFUL!!

Does anyone have the awning in question and can provide brief step by step instructions in English??? (rather than war and peace on crap paper with garbled text and crappy images.... rant over.

Thanks!

it basically stands up like a big spider... you have to go round and lock the middle knuckle joints into place ...then go round again and lock the lower ones...once you get the hang of it its a doddle..

Go to here  video    click on the first VIEW ON LINE   This is the video of the XXL tents.   All of the domes go up the same,

The figure of 8 connectors  ....    your on your own on that one

But quick guide is

flop it out,  lift the hub ,  gently, but firmly push down on the roof joint until it locks in place.  Do this for all the roof joints.

It's on its knees now and will  attempt to become a glider  if there is a breeze.  ( think of it like a caterpillar  grounded at first but when transformed into a butterfly will quite happily take flight )  Now is the time to get the triguys or main guys out if you want to keep it grounded.

So now loosen first guy enough to lift first leg.  Push leg joint connector  until it locks. Do this for the other 3 legs.

Peg and guy as normal, put the kettle on cos' your done.

Thanks for all your replies!!

It sounds more straightforward than in the instructions that's for sure!

Even IKEA instructions are better than the Khyam ones!!

Thanks again!
