Did anyone call in at this at Weston park this weekend?
It was our fist VW event since getting our T25. It's great to see so many VDubs and owners in one place willing to help out and offer advice. Its a very family orientated thing..... also a bit hippyish, a bit retro and a bit surfy. I didnt know the whole VDub/van thing was so popular. There were loads of cheap parts and van extras too, no rip off merchants.
A big thanks to the organisers and to everyone there for creating a really laid back day. We'll hopefully camp there next year.
I was there and there were tons of VW's from the splits through to the latest T5's
A great show all in all
CheersĀ Ratty
Nice to see the newer vehicles getting a look in too!
I wonder how long it will be before the T4's will get the same kind of respect / status as the T25's and earlier buses like the splittys, the bays etc?
We were also there - took us 7 hours to get there from the South Coast due to M40 being closed but well worth it. A real chilled out festival - great atmosphere, great entertainment, and lots of fab VW's!!! (although wasnt just a VW festival?!?)
can someone tell me how to upload on this site - seems it doesnt like what im doing!!

Hi, You have me confused. If it was not just a VW festival, what was it then please?
From what I can see and know of the show it is a VW event. Here is their website http://www.camperjam.co.uk/ and I quote from their website: "A Family VW Bus Event for all types".
Although of course all types of campers are welcome, be it in a tent, motorhome, caravan, roof tent, teepee and so on

Sounds good Bigtoe, did they welcome any later models like the T4 or T5's or was it just T25's and the classics, bet you saw loads of splittys?
Yep, as Ratty says there were loads of T4s and T5s and with some seriously plush interiors. Some resembled business class flight accomodation, polished wood and acres of cream leather. It was probably about 40% splits/bays with smaller proportions of T4 T25 and T5s. We travelled down from Wirral in convoy (a T25, T4 and T5). I love all of them but prefer the T25 over the other models. For me it combines a bit of retro cool with good practicality.
We were there to, but only on the Sunday, couldn't make the full weekend due to work!!! Great show & well organised. There's a one day VW show at Tatton Park Knutsford on Sun 8th August if anyones interested.
