Those of you who have an island bed, do you use the shaped bedding or just normal bedding. We bought duvets and sheets specially made for island bed and although they look to have a nice fit they tend to be a bit narrow. Maybe it is just because hubby hogs it all.

A friend of mine bought the specially shaped bedding and it looks great, although I thought it was quite expensive!
We have a French bed and are switching to the shaped linen. It looks nicer I think

We have had problems with the plastic press studs on our duvet. I had to stitch metal ones in between to keep it closed  as the plastic ones wouldn't stay shut. Not very good at the price we payed. Now I would like a spare cover but am loath to pay so much money for shoddy goods. A zip would be a better idea. I emailed freedom is but got no reply.
