Anyone else got lots of plans and not been able to go away? We had to cancel because we couldnt even get our MH off the drive and out of the village!!! gutted!!! just beginning to thaw now but with the risk of more in Wales we've decided to stay putt!!!
------------- Wilsoncampers!!
Life's too short to put things off!!!
Same here.. glad I got the water drained down before the snow started.
I don't usually camp in the winter (getting soft in my old age), preferring a hotel / B&B etc..., but I use the van regularly to keep it in running order.
Thaw has just set in today, so hopefully the driveway will clear in a few days.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
I was booked in to a campsite near Filey for a few days over the xmas hols but had to cancel due to snow/ice. Aside from roads being blocked, unsafe to drive, the campsite has been snowed in for 5 weeks. I think most people would have had to cancel due to unsafe driving conditions.
We were booked for a few days at knareborough in between xmas and New Year but had to cancel due to full family being ill, we have just had our motorhome out today for a long run and now it has made me really want to go away, so I am now trying to book us for next weekend somewhere nice. Anyone got any nice small sites that they visit with an indoor pool, we fancy a bit of a swim. We know Cawood and Goosewood but we fancy a change, I have used search but nothing coming up.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
