I have seen a motor home that I am considering buying a Hymer, but my wife dislikes the decore of the seats.I would be greatfull if anyone can advise if its practical to have the seats reupholstered & change of colour, also is their any firm in the northwest who undertake the work, many thanks,
I don`t know of any in your area, but this company has very good reviews, you can chose from a wide range cloth they have in stock, you can stay the night in thier company premises with EHU over night, and they will start your van first thing and finish it in a day,I was quoted (if I remember right ) about £2000,including curtains, but that was before the VAT increase,It might be better to phone them as they are always very busy,as a lot of the dealers in the midlands use them.hope this helps.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

yes deffinately if you like the van just get all the furnishing recovered, i am having mine done at this very minute, i take it to the same lad who's done the last two for me, we had a look around to trade in and didn't like what we saw so are now refurbishing with an eye to keep it for a few years give him a ring its: nc interiors on 07799060755 he's based in farnworth, lancs. or google his website. idea for price mine is £900. cabseats, large cushions filled with different foam and curtain valance's to match.
Another vote for Regal. We had the driver and passenger seats done by them on our old transit and they did a very good job and quite reasonable price. We stayed overnight at their factory using the EHU and it felt very safe as the gates were locked and it's not in a "dodgy" sort of area anyway. Mind you they did need us up and out of the van by 7.30 in the morning!
Thanks for the feed back, Farnworth isnt far from us, at present we have a conway folding camper & each year we said this is the last year we us it & buy some thing else. But last July my wife was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer resulting in the removal of all infected organs in her throat etc including the lyrnx, at present she is undergoing treatment at Christies. This has promped us to buy something more suitable for our needs but still keeps us mobile, hence the change of colour skeme to suit our taste. Thanks again for the useful advice.
We bought a second-hand Hymer 18 months ago and SWMBO did not like the upholstery. I was going to have it re-covered but once we got the Hymer home and had used it a couple of times she is not bothered now.
I was going to have it done at N.C. Interiors as the guy has been in this industry for quite a long time and his quote was very reasonable. His land-line number is 01204 793 335
We bought a Hymer and were unsure about the upholstery. We covered the overcab with a toning stretch terry towelling bottom sheet and added some toning cushions. 7 years down the line and we still have the same upholstery. If you factor the cost in to your calculations and decide to buy, it might be best to see if it grows on you.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
Another vote for Regal Furnishings.
We had our AS Symbol recovered last October and are very pleased with the result. They have a wide selection of different materials and patterns so you should be able to find something that you like.
------------- Work is the curse of the camping classes!
trunnion sorry to hear about your wife hope everything turns out ok after the treatment, don't give up on the camping side, buy a motorhome that you like the layout and untill you can get it recovered put some throws over the seats, and use it.
