Has anyone experience of using the small TVs as sold by Maplin ? I understand you can get something for not much more than £100. I would want no more than a portable aerial, no satellite dish. I know you only get what you pay for so have these any limitations ? Any help and advice would be most appreciated.

I found the screens too small, unless you sit close to them. I now just use something like this
I still haven't found a very effective portable aerial for digital reception Anything, even one from Poundland, works in a good reception area, but nothing seems to work elsewhere, even with built in boosters I suspect digital TV is going to be a real PITA when camping Maybe it will be better when the switchover has been made and signal strength boosted

although we have a status arial fitted It's pretty useless esp for digital tv so we use an ordinary basic one. Cheap from Argos. Fixed on a metal pole. Usually get good pictures. Hope this might help.
