Hi - in Adelaide Australia the coldest it gets is about right now which is around 14 deg C in the day and about 7 deg C at night - and this is very cold for us.

We are arr in the UK on 5 Sept for a 12 month motor home holiday of UK and Europe. We are looking forward to 12 months of touring but we are worried about your cold winters.  We hope to avoid the worst of it and spend the winter in the sth of Spain. I've read advice on the net that says its possible to still be wearing a T shirt during the day in southern Spain and other advice saying it will be around 14 deg C. Also, some have advised that nothing is open in Spain during winter.  Has anyone spent time in winter in Sth Spain? And if so, I'd be grateful to hear how it was.

Any other advice for a couple of Aussies about to embark on our dream holiday??

Cheers - Bev

hi. alot of the big tourist traps are closed . there campsites open .many free camp as well. the tourist towns have an influx of winter travellers but its relatively quiet. andalucia and almeria are possibly the warmest places. many also cross to morocco. lovely and warm there. expect lots rain in november and early december where ever you are. north ane east europe is too cold for me , but again many go to the alps etc just to go skiing. have fun might see you on the road somewhere .cheers alan.
