Hi, Has any one had troube filling gaslow bottles, I have had this bottle for about 4 years, it's been well yoused but not abused, the last 2 time i'v filled it was filling ok at normal speed, at about 3/4 full it slowed down to just a tricle until it was full. I have a frend who had the same problem on a fitted gas tank but i have never head of it on a bottle. I'v phoned gaslow but they did'nt seem to know any thing about this problem with there bottles, Mmmmm . Would really like to hear some coments on my little problem.
Most gas cylinders are only ever filled to 80% full, I understand to allow expansion room, perhaps you are trying to overfill. Do Gasflow give any instructions on the max fill each time?
As David said, cylinders are only meant to be filled to 80% capacity..your Gaslow bottles will have an internal "float" type arrangement, which would stop you from over-filling..
..to know if it is faulty or not, you'd need to know how "empty" it was and how much you put in it...
(..I must say that I've never come across such a fault being talked about on other MH forums though...)
its actually a very common fault . the gas tanks have been hopeless . was much better to have the bleed off screw . open screw gas came out when 80%full liquid came out. still have that system on the big tank in my garden . i deliberately keep an old tank just so i dont have the crappy turn off. it does seem that as they get older the fault is more frequent. some times i also think the pump in the garage isnt pumping correct as well. they also have a cut off. cheers alan.
