Hi,Joe! I have an Omnistor on mine! Very similar to the Fiamma.Be careful when it's windy,as they can take off in seconds! Do you have clips on the side of your body to take the legs? Very useful!!! That way there is some support as the awning comes out.
I don't have the clips as described by John, but I always put the legs down when the canopy is about 3 feet out, then wind it out the rest of the way & reset the legs in their final position.
thanks alot fellas. I am looking to get these clips for the sides they can only be cheap. I am useing marks method .I Also have the sides etc are these hold down straps up to much that go over the whole setup via a large strap never had all this kit on old vw
No need to tell me about these and the wind! I had one that the roof support bent and collapsed on me. Nice 7 inch dent in the side of the van and a bent roof beam. I would not have said that it was that windy.
Always leave one leg slightly higher than the other so if it rains the water can run down & off at one end. My Omnistor has crashed twice in heavy rain due to a big puddle collecting on the top until the sheer weight of it brought the lot down.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
