No tips particularly, just wanting to say how much we enjoyed a holiday there. Try and fit in Pompeii, the Amalfi coast, and a boat trip to Capri in and take the cable ride to the top. Enjoy and safe journey.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Right my friend i can answer your query as i come from not far from Sorrento( well i did until 1966), right i would not stop in Sorrento myself, campsites are very expensive and are not in Sorrento itself, but what i would do is use camping ZEUS, in Pompei, its very close to the motorway exit and its next to the local train services ( La Vesuviana) please note the trains do not run after 11.30, they are very cheap and you can go to Sorrento from there, that is what i do when i travel down to visit my sisters, another idea is i do not know wether you are going to use main roads or motorway in Italy, myself i buy a VIACARD from PUNTO BLU, its a motorway card that allows you to travel on them, i found last time there 150 euros was enough to take me back to AOSTA please if you want to know more email me at fcimmino at hotmail.co.uk, i can pass on some good advice if you wish.
