Hi, I've just bought a Bambi and would really appreciate any advice on a suitable drive-away awning. Obviously it would need to fit onto the back of the van and I'm hoping to find one with about 2 square metres floor space. I've thought about getting one to fit a van up to 240cm tall as these seem to be the only ones with floor space this small, (220 to 290 all seem to be 3 metres squared) but the Bambi is about 248 cm tall. How generous are the sizes given in the specifications of awnings? Also, would I be able to attach one by tying the ropes to the wing mirrors?
Thanks :)

Hi,  Most drive away awnings give a footprint measurement in line drawings with adverts on the web.......BUT do remember that as well as the 'living space' of the awning you will also have the adittional 'tunnel section' footprint to take into account. The tunnel section is part that attaches to van.

Hope you find what you are seeking...other than that look up CARANEX....that may help you out.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely take into account the tunnel length. I want to avoid adding too much length to the van when we set up. It shouldn't be a problem on an open field but I'm just concerned about marked out pitches.
