Hello all, I want to renew the brake pads on my compass I have looked on the net for good price etc. but all I can find relate to base vehicle i.e. peugeot boxer, these show weight up to 1800kgs. my loaded weight is up to 3850kgs, I have been searching for front pads only. So do the front and rear pads have different ratings, and do you add the front to the rear making up maximum load?

Even the basic Boxer has a GVW of between 3 and 4 tonnes, so no idea where the 1800kgs come from I would imagine that the braking system is designed to take the maximum load available, so you shouldn't have a problem. Front pads are usually larger and thicker than rears, as they do the majority of the braking.
