I really want to hear more from Vickit. We have bought a 1993 VW California with the understanding that we would be able to add an extra row of seats as you have done.
However, We are now a bit stuck. We don't know what it is we should be looking for, and where, and that can be sure will lock in to the track.
Did you also then re-register your car as a 6 seater?
Seats for a T5 here possibly adaptable for a T4, they don't look much different.

A drive away awning is a must for extra space, mine goes up in around 10 minutes and doubles the amount of space whether it be for sleeping or storage easy to drive out and back too, after a couple of goes.
