A friend has one of these - with a bike carrier on the back - and they are very much prone to this. It's probably due to the fact that with a rear kitchen and shower they are quite a rear-heavy design.

One form of spring assister or another may help, but I would seriously suggest you check whether a scooter will overload your rear axle. If you get pulled in to one of the VOSA random stops, it ~will~ be checked.

we used to have a scooter rack on a calypso,1996.  and had no probs with it being low, maybe the rear springs/shocks are tired now, what weight is the rack/ scooter we were told 200kg max. so it limits what bike you have?

Just a long shot but I’m thinking of doing the same. Have you any drawings and photos of the fittings.

Unlikely you will get much response as the original thread is 11 years old and I don't recognise many, if any of the names of the posters in it. They are probably no longer members.

Thanks Colin, I thought it may be a long shot. I’ll post a fresh thread and see if I get any info.
