We met a lovely couple who were in their LDV home conversion at The Wharf in Shropshire. It was two tone green and looked stunning. They were very pleased with it. Good days ahead !
------------- cramming for my finals in the twilight zone
Hi....great van, I've been running an LDV minibus/campervan for 8 years (and its still only got 49k on the clock now!)....in fact, it's only just about run in, it goes better as it gets older. I bought it with 17 seats and 24k on the clock for £4000 after 1 owner, a school had finished with it. Over the years I've constantly altered it, through a 9seater for us and the grandkids and our dogs, to now, just the two of us and with the front seats and a king size bed! I'll post some pics, if anyone is interested....the only problem I've ever had and couldn't solve, is a constant rainwater leak, which I've whittled down to ingress via the wiper spindles (after two replacement windscreen rubbers and endless sealant applications)... a minor complaint really....it's a brilliant van overall...Good Luck!!
ours has been used more, its 11 years old and its a beast of a van as an lDV convoy high top,, needs some TLC, new paint job (currently black matt finish) and some original artwork changing or painting over, slightly rude pictures, lol
its certainly a head turner, but to be honest i just want a camper van to take me away to quiet corners of the country,
have just nearly fell off my chair at the insurance quote.........i will be renting space out in it to cover the cost, lol
interesting about the water ingress, the OH is waffling on about a wet patch on the drivers side in the cab, tucked towards the engine, maybe its the same as yours, will get him to investigate later
one of the fixed sleeping areas is so big, we could get all 6 of our grandchildren on it at once
thanks for the info and encouragement...im going to need all i can get lol
