Hi all,
I am new to this, I have just bought a compass advantgaurde 400rl 04 plate. The problem is that when I charge the water system and vent the ultra store all me water discharges via the ventilation hose, is there a relief valve in the tee coupling from the boiler letting by any sugestions.

I THINK...only think....Fill fresh water tank to 100%. Then switch on pump/tap button on the control panel, then turn on a hot water tap...you should hear the pump and water should come out of tap. IF NOT try cold water tap (as second option). Just to make sure the pump is doing its job of pumping! IF when you tried the hot water tap, nothing came out...presume that boiler has NOT taken in water. In that case..do not turn on water heater. You will only be certain that if no water comes from the hot tap(and its water plumbing works) to the water heater, that no water is in that boiler. I know nothing about venting the ultrastore at all. I have the worst tank filling arrangement in operation todate......so think yourself lucky you dont have what we have, and I am sure that SOMEONE better qualified than I, will be able to put you on the right track...we all try our best to help one another. As your van is not old...did you get all manuals with it? If not some one with an Avantgard would be able to help. You might post that as your topic headline...and get a definative answer from an owner. Good luck...and welcome to this forum.
Not sure sure what you mean by "..vent the ultra store"..as I've never heard that before..?
Are you sure it isn't just draining out through the(open)boiler drain tap/hose?
Our previous van was an '07 Compass Advantgaurde 120,so I assume a similar set up(...although I'm not sure what the "Rapid" is..?).
To "prime" our water system,it was just a case of shoving some water in the tank(..and it didn't need to be full)and then with the pump on,I just "bled" it through by *operating each tap in turn, until all the air had gone and the water ran smoothly(..even without any taps open, once the pump was on,I would hear the boiler filling up..).
(*Which order you operate the taps in may/can influence how easy/quick this operation is...)
Thank to you both for the advice I shall try it out, I am probably doing it wrong. I had a Karmann with a truma ultra flow and no problems, I shall go and try it now, watch this space......

We I have tried all of your suggestions but to no avail. Fill my tank up and it symphony's out of the expansion pipe at the rear and emptys the tank, even tried blocing the pipe But as soon as I remove the bung out it drops, somehow I think the answer is going to be simple!!!!!

You must have a dump valve left open, i have a hobby siesta and at first filling the tank and opening the water taps i couln't get water out of the hot taps at all, until eureka i found where the bloody dump valve was and closed it and voila' all systems are go. The morale of the story is read the bloody instruction books that came with the camper/motorhome
I checked the dump valve and the fresh water drain and overfill. The drain is definitely from the Ventilation hose on the boiler it's self. The ventilation hose is see through and a soon as I fill the tank it syphones out of the pipe. Makes sense the tank is heigher than the boiler, maybe there is a faulty anti syphones valve some where I don't know about. I shall contact truma and see if I can get it resolved. I shall post the answer as soon as I find it.

If the clear hose is connected to the same red plastic fitting as the hot water pipe at the hot outlet, (top one) then it will be the red fitting at fault there is a one way valve built into it no option but to replace the fitting.
