Must try the chunnel at least once but I enjoy the whole ferry thing. Part of the holiday is having a ride on a big boat.....
More scope for discounts too ;)

Yes, but thanks to Mr Tesco we get return crossings on the tunnel for £2 each time
Pray tell how you get a channel crossing for only £2
If you shop at Tesco you get points, also if you have a Tesco credit card you get points. All those points convert into vouchers every 3 months. These vouchers you can convert into Eurotunnel vouchers at 3 times their value.
So, if you have, say, £10 of Tesco vouchers, that converts into £30 of Eurotunnel vouchers. Save more than that, say, £50 of Tesco vouchers, that converts into £150 of Eurotunnel vouchers.
With a motorhome, we can get crossings for £122, vouchers amount to £120, so, difference to pay is £2.
Have a look at the Tesco website with Eurotunnel details HERE

Thanks Ina, my better half is already on the case.
Good, well worth it. But bear in mind that prices change with demand, like airlines, so it pays to book early. But you should still get a good deal. What you need to do is go onto the Eurotunnel website and "play around" with dates/times to find the best prices, then decide which crossing is best for you.
But, you can't book until you have the Eurotunnel voucher code from Tesco, you need to quote that when you ring to book.
Hi Folks, Just to put a funny side to the issue of the tunnel. Many years ago we took mother in law to the bulb feilds via the tunnel. My daughter said why is Grandma going funny clolours mum. Aparantly she was trying to hold here breath because we were going under the chanel. I had to get out of the car and walk away.
