Hi,
Currently looking at ways of filling the motorhome's tank from a new 23l container that I've bought. My current thinking is that since the water filler is more or less below the kitchen window I can put the water container in the van and run a hose out the window.

So my question is, can anyone recommend a syphon (or siphon, not sure of the spelling :-) ) pump? I've seen one on Amazon for about £8 but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Food grade would be nice but not essential as I don't drink out of the tanks.

Thanks
Robert

Hi robert,
Get your self a whale pump and then a length of food grade pipe long enough to reach the bottom of the barrel and into the water filler. Then you need to connect this to a 12v supply.
Hope this helps

I use this in my aquarium - should do nicely for your needs.

I agree with bald eagle - it's what whale submersible pumps are built for. £10-12 for their cheapest one and you'll get a far better flow rate than any siphon setup will give you.

May be I'm not reading your post correctly, but if the 25L container is above and the tank filler below surley it will fill by gravity and no need for a pump.
