Has anybody got a motorhome or caravan with a Alde crome towel rail, look great but only get hot at the bottom. I have let the air out and only the water comes out. I have spoken to Alde they say its more for show and not designed to heat the wash room.

Any ideas?

That's about it. I think most caravan manufacturers are now fitting small radiators in place of the so called Alde heated towel rail. Its not a massive job to install a rad but is it worth the effort to you? If you caravan a lot in the winter months then it probably is, but otherwise....

Thanks for that, I've bought a panel radiator from Alde to replace the Crome towel rail. It's a pity Alde or Elddis didn't want to help after parting with my hard earnt money for our motorhome .

I think the problem is that people expect a towel rail to heat the space but if you look at the output of the towel rail it is very low and is designed for what it says. It is the manufacturers who underspecify the systems for winter use that lead to the issues that you have. There is another thread on another forum where someone was suggesting heating the washroom with a 60W towel rail - you aint going to get a lot of heat out of that.
