We went to the Caravan Show at Birmingham in February and bought some lightweight towels from Snow Goose, they have just put a sale on and i've Just bought some really nice bed linen from Snow Goose. It makes our Bailey look like a hotel room lol , saved us buying a new caravan this year too! Im really pleased with the results and many thanks to Jill at Snow Goose uk she is on www.snowgooseuk.com
You won't see our linen when we're camping in winter! It was minus 5 at Easter, our water pipes froze and our wee oil fired heater kept the van no warmer than tepid. We use a double duvet cover like a sleeping bag, topped by proper woollen blankets (from charity shops), then the duvet on top is in an old cover because the dog brings muddy paws onto it. Except in a hot summer, the entire "sandwich" is tucked into an unzipped down sleeping bag at the toes where the air gap is, so we don't need bedsocks. Underneath it all is a cheap mattress comfort layer with elastic at the corners, that holds the cushions together and gives a bit of warmth. All very Heath Robinson, but it works for us. Thank goodness we have a roomy over-cab locker!
