Hi all, was just having a first toe in the water, upgrading from a tent 2 a motorhome, well camper. How much will it take to get hold of a chep camper worth having? as far as I can tell you lot must be loaded
worth having is a wide statment.......better going for what you can afford. theres campers at all prices you'll have to make your own mind up if they are worth having.
Hi, definately better to buy in winter to save a couple of thousand. As for what is worth having, it is down to what you need it for and how much you can afford to spend. If you can afford a top-of-the-range A-class at £65,000 then a coachbuilt at £20,000 may seem not worth having. Some of us have to re-mortgage the house to buy one, and still can't afford anything expensive!
Whatever you get, just make sure you get the most out of it and enjoy.
------------- Our motorhome loves Rock'n'Roll... it rolls all day and rocks all night ;0)
it all depends if you can weld, good at spanners, can fill n spray, and do good diy and seal leaking roofs, then you can get a camper for a couple of hundred quid and make it into one worth 3-4 grand, other wise its best to buy a nice dry, well maintained, well painted, clean, motor with long mot and tax,but this will cost you around 3 grand on for a good un at the cheaper end of the market, but you need to get a move on if buying a self repair because once you get started theres not enough hours in the day lol very best wishes billy in brum :-)
sounds like good advice, Did go and look at one on ebay the other day took a mate who welds would have cost me 3-4 hundred 4 the work and the rest of my life to re-fit the thing, O well I'll keep on looking.
By the way he had a reserve of £800 on it and it reached £460 by the end of the auction.
