Hi, I have recently found two cracks on the rear lower panel. I have attempted to seal them with gelcoat as advised by a local dealer. But after taking the van out this weekend have found that both cracks have opened up again, can anyone throw any advise my way please, I have been reading the fixed it club threads with great interest .
Regards Hallyboy. ;(

How big is the panel and can you take it off?? The reason I ask, it will be better if laid down flat, where the cracks are you should make or try to form a V try a small dremel or something similar and try not to go right through. I know this may sound drastic but from experience its the only way to save the panel, ie, drill some 6 to 8 mm holes adjacent to crack 1 inch to 4 inches either side then use fibreglass matting, take your time ie lay one sheet one direction and then after a couple of hours lay another the opposite direction of the first,2 should be more than adequate, the first one make sure it fills the V you formed and it slightly protrudes from the predrilled holes, this way it will be reinforced, i'm afraid that obviously the whole panel will have to be resprayed, hope this helps
