Hi, I have a Fiat Ducatto motorhome and wondered if anyone could recommend a pop up drive away awning for it. The camper does not have any attachment rails on it as with a roll out awning so would have to stand alone. Have to get something as the wife wont have my fishing gear and muddy boots inside. Cheers Dave. Ps have to have a pop up one as I have not got the patience for one with lots of poles.

Hi Dave..

We use a Quechua base tent as an "awning" when we use our Hiace "camping van"..(photo in gallery).

Although it isn't really high enough to act as an awning on anything much taller,we do use it as a storage/cooking tent when we are using our MH...

They don't fold down very small though(about a 3ft dia disc!).

There's also the Kyham motordome types...but they're far more expensive...

We also have a Quechua, and use it as extra sleeping space when our family want to come with us for a weekend. Yes they are very easy to put up, but theres a fair bit of cursing when it comes to take them down, even with practice in fishermans terms its like fighting a Marlin!

The smaller ones arent so bad, but ours is a 4 man and even after watching the Youtube videos and practicing in the back yard its still rather a pig to pack away!

Maybe one of the quick erect event shelters/kitchen tents would be more suitable for your needs and easier to store under one of the benches? The larger pop up tents would certainly not fit under, even the two man models are over 2ft in diameter folded.
