Hi, does anybody know about smart chargers for motorhomes as I have ended up with a flat battery after leaving the camper idle for 2 months

I use an optimate (mostly sold to motorcyclists - but there are 12v models as well) which combines maintenance charging and recovery

worked for me with a fully discharged battery on our Vectra SRi which had been left several weeks without attention!

There are a few similar multi cycle chargers......

Assuming you're referring to the leisure battery, I guess it depends on whether you want a built-in unit or something that you can move from vehicle to vehicle.

If it's the latter, CTEK is a good make with a reputation for reliability.

If the former, you'll probably be looking for a combined 12V power supply and charger which can run the van's 12V appliances as well as charging the leisure battery at the same time.
