Linking two generators

 

I have a Honda EU10i that has the facility of being linked to another EU10i by using an optional lead.

 

I also have a Honda EC2200 that doesn’t have this facility. 

 

Dose anyone know if these two generators can be linked together! Is it just a matter of joining the two outputs together or is there some sort of magic device inside the Honda EU10i generators?

Hello,  if the generators are designed tu run in parallel, then there should be no problem.  With AC (alternating current) it is important that the generators are able to synchronize.  If they cannot then fuses will blow !!.  Using different types without the facility for synchronizing will not work.  The reading of the manual is also a good starting point - it should explain what is possible.

Panic over, according to a site on the Internet it takes 2500 watts to start a freezer but I have just connected my freezer to the 2000-watt generator and it seems to work ok.

2500 watts to start a freezzer.how old was freezer.i run lights tv dvd ect ect on 1800w inverter and my fridgefreezer kicks in no bother what soever.
