Hi, please can anyone advise. We've got a fiamma superflow pump in our van. Was fine before winter drain down now it makes a chuckling sort of noise but doesn't pump any water. Most obvious thing, I suppose is that there is an air lock but does anyone know how to clear this? I left the taps open over the winter, as that was what it said in the instruction leaflet but I've turned 'em all so many ways now trying to get water that I can't remember what's shut and what's open anyway .  Does anyone know if this pump needs priming or something?

would be really grateful for any advice - the van is back to the dealer on Friday for service so it can be sorted then but we wanted to leave here the day before and stay in the vicinity so would be nice to get it going now!

thanks :)

Hi,

I don't know anything about that pump, but how long have you left the taps on for? The reason I ask this question is because after fully draining, our boiler takes most of the water until it's full before anything comes out of the taps. This takes a couple of minutes. First it 'gurgles' for a while, then it spits for a while, then eventually it flows properly.

thanks sixwheels - I left the taps open quite a while but there's nothing actually going through the pump :(  Anyway, I've phoned the dealer, and he couldn't suggest anything either, just that they'll look at it when we take it in for service tomorrow - early start then!   thanks for the suggestions

connect hose pipe to inlet of pump and flush system.there is filter on pump which might be blocked.       you dont have to buy new pump if giving up ghost,as long as motor alright you can buy new pump end at fraction of cost only three screws to replace.www.fiamma.co.uk also get upgraded end.
