How can soft sentencing for these criminals be totally off topic. I wonder what Clarzier ( see motorhome stolen)and other victims would think if the culprits that stole their vehicles get a slap on the wrist. May I suggest that it's very on-topic and one of the main reasons why these crimes are common. NO deterent. After all we're not talking about petty theft; organised individuals and values of £30,000 - £40,000 plus.

Whay I meant was that we were getting into politics, which is something that some forums frown upon; some forum moderators close threads because of it.

FWIW I don't think sentences are long enough for any crime, there is no deterrent these days and I shudder to think what things will be like in another 10 or 20 years.
