I have a Timberland Freedom 2003 motorhome which has a fair bit of storage but not quite enough, so I would like to fit a Fiamma Ultra Box 320 on the rear doors on the existing bike rack. I would like to know if any members have any idea of the pros and cons of this project.
Any help on this subject would be most appreciated. The Fiamma Ultra Box 320 is the smallest one that Fiamma do.
had one a while back, useful extra storage and easy to put on and off plus kept things secure... Unfortunately it blocks the rear window and when full makes use of the rear door difficult plus it doesn't actually hold that much but the thing I really didn't like about it was the fact I couldn't use my bike rack.
When I sold the van the box was included and although I bought another van I never replaced the box... I find a small trailer much more useful as it carries more, I can carry my bikes and I can leave it on the site when parked up...though some people don't like towing so this wont suit everyone...?
Question, have you got a tow bar???? if so you just might be interested in something I had custom made about 18 years ago for a Kontiky I owned. imagine a v shaped support attached to your towball, on that I had at the time the biggest rear box you could lay your hands on and travelled all over Europe with it no problems full of stuff, if interested send me your email I will send some photos, it will be cheap as I wish to get rid of some of the old stuff I still have in the garage and shed.
The Fiamma Cargo Back Soft Luggage Box seems like a good option
Except it would cover half my number plate. Is it legal to get another
No plate and fix it to the Cargo Soft Box.
will the bike rack move up away from your number plate by re drilling bike holder track and leaving door fixing in same place..if you dont want to fit electrics for a number plate board ,,,
------------- do it to day it might be too late tomorow
