You would normally fill from the forecourt of an LPG station into the remote Gaslow internal or external filler kit supplied and fitted to your system.

Presumably the OP(Paul) wants to use up what's left in his exchange bottles?....

We don't have "refillables",so I'm only guessing here...but I would "guess" that even if it was doable, it'd be such a faff about, what with undoing hoses/cobbling together connectors etc, it probably wouldn't be worth it...

I have read of some folks who feed IN via a BBQ point(and use B-I-G Calor bottles & bottle mounted reg')..but I would assume that may entail some sort of shut off valve being fitted(.. to isolate the "on board" cylingers/reg ?).

I have had the system for many years and after filling your system and not having to lug bottles about you will wonder why you didnt do it earlier it approx 1/2 the cost of shop bottles and relatively available all over the place.

I have refillable gas bottles, just pull up at service station and fill both Gas & diesel tanks(Easy).Although it is possible to fill gas bottles from another gas bottle it is not a recommended option.I do know of people who use a large gas bottle to fill smaller one, this is done done to save money, for some reason you pay a lot more for a small quantity of gas than a larger quantity, however this method of filling is dangerous to say the least, gas bottles must never be filled over the 80% mark, this is a safety issue and any gas retailer will confirm this.If you have spare bottles with or with out gas in them just advertise these for sale someone will want them. You may save a few quid by using the gas in the spare cylinders but if an explosion occurred through over filling what price would you then be paying?.
