any advice on whale water pump pump working however does not cut out when tank is full keeps running and water is forced back causing the water to push back out of the bottom of the pump on the outside of the caravan

Could be air in the pipes/tank. Just a thought. Drain completely turning on every tap not forgetting shower and try again.

Then again could be something entirely different.

Does your system have a pressure bottle on it? could be that at fault.

Could be the level probes in the tank bad connection or the probes needing a clean

For us, pump running but no water means our filter is choked and needs cleaning - an almost annual job, means taking out the kitchen shelf as the pump's behind the bulkhead. The fillter just unscrews, it's where the incoming water goes into the pump. And once, it was because this filter thingy had a crack so it wasn't airtight, kept pumping but no water. Hope you get it sorted easily.
