I wonder if anyone can help me, we have just purchased a new khyam awning for the van. Our previous awning was attached by a pole and clamp system. This one has a figure of 8.
Problem is the figure of 8 keeps coming off the van. Is there a technique to this?
Must have reconnected about 10 times last night then gave in.
Any ideas?

I never found figure of 8 worked on T25. Like you I found it wouldn't stay on the rain gutter. If your awning has no pole & clamp then all you can do is secure it across roof of van with guylines pegged into ground on other side. You could also get suction clamps from Justkampers but they don't seem to do them now.

You could glue a length of awning rail along roof of van, this works ok with a high top. Stick it on with good quality exterior grab adhesive like Evostik Serious stuff.

like these you hook them over the rain gutter and pop the figure of 8 over and seem to stop it pinging off, used for on our vw bay window in all winds n weathers

DONT use evostick but instead go to Halfords and buy a roll of the tape they use to affix number plates it works and you may want to take it off one day
