Hi all,

Recently bought a 2006 Trafic and have had it converted into a camper van.

I want to get a awning for it but not sure on which one to choose and what kind of awning rail I would need?

Does anyone have any ideas as I had a T5 before which had an easycamp Sebring 200 and the gutter rail was easy to fit.

Is it a high roof van? you can get a length of awning rail & stick it to van using exterior grab glue like Evostik Serious Stuff. If its low roof then you can use a tunnel awning & guy it across roof of van & onto ground on opposite side.

The van is a low top so thinking I could stick the awning rail like you said with evostick and then use c channel connection to the awning job done

The awning should have beading on it that will slide straight into the awning rail. The plastic C channel you mention is used to clip onto gutter on older vans that have a gutter, with awning beading slid into it.

i too recently purchased a renault trafic - 05 plate - ours is a high roof van and would also appreciate any recommendations for drive-away awnings. have had a j-rail fitted to the side
