Has anyone got any experience or knowledge of Sunncamp Companion motorhome awnings?

I'm particularly interested to find out if they have a way of tensioning the spare fabric in the tunnel when fixing to vans of different heights. I know some awnings such as the Movelite range use tensioning straps to tension the fabric but I can't find out how the Sunncamp ones do it.

I've asked Sunncamp this question as well but I hope that one of you may have some first hand experience to share.

Thanks
Rob

Still no answer from Sunncamp so perhaps they don't know how their awnings fit. Doesn't bode well for after sales service.

Hi..

You say you've "asked" them..by that, do you mean that you've just fired off an email?..or just spoke with some girl/lad who just happened to  answer the phone?...

Emails get overlooked and phone messages don't always get passed on....

If I really needed to know something, I'd ask 'em again and/or speak with someone who actually sells them..

Can you not find an advert, with photos showing the areas you need to know about?

Thanks Pepe. I asked by email as I like to get the facts in writing before I spend my money, I've been caught out too many times to trust what I'm told on the phone. None of the photos shows the inside of the tunnel.

I have the information now and it has tensioning straps in the tunnel which is exactly what I had hoped for. One retailer I asked told me that the excess material problem would be overcome if I bought some kador strip to attach the awning with! I'm not buying from him but I've got a very good deal elsewhere.

Hi, has anyone had experience with a Sunncamp Lodge Motor 200 awning?

I've got a Sunncamp Motorbuddy 250, we use it mostly for winter as it is very robust and remained waterproof over 4 years of use. The tunnel has adjustable straps at the foot where the pegs go in and unlike the Outdoor revolution Cayman air we have, which has far too much material which flaps in the wind, actually keeps the tunnel taught which is another reason we use it for winter trips.
