Inside, no problem, but outside ?? If it's within an awning it might be useful, but sitting outside, 400 watts of heat will just get 'blown away' and you won't get any benefit.

Agree - no point warming the great outdoors. Put on more clothes instead! If you want visual cheer, a big fat stable candle works well. You can get a flickering candle app too - I have used it in a hotel where a candle would have set off the alarm.
