Hi. Im looking to buy a 2-4 berth camper/motor home. Price up to £4,000. Preferably in the yorkshire/lincolnshire area, so we can come and view. Ideally we would like a ford transit lwb, ldv or fiat ducato. If anyone knows of anything for sale, we would really appreciate it if you could get in contact.

Many thanks
Deena

Welcome to the forum, have you tried the listings on here? There's also a well known online auction site, Preloved, and your local Facebook selling pages for motor homes etc that you could look at for local advertisers.

At first I thought you would have trouble with a £4k budget, but if you look on Autotrader motorhomes, you will find a number of Ford and Fiat based vans within your range. One downside is that they generally have very high mileage.

Good luck with your quest.

How about this one

I'd try either Preloved (which is not an auction site) or eBay.

Not sure how tall you are, but the Fiat/Peugeot/Citroen are the widest, so you can build your own bed across the back, if you go down that path, or find anything for sale. Mine is new, but the same style could be copied. Swivel seats at the front, table behind them, two forward facing seats that convert to a bed and in the rear, bench seats each side that convert to the double, bed. As there are only the two of us,the bed stays made up as such.

I built my own van in a 2007 Iveco daily MWB. It cost somewhat more than £4000, but at least I have a van built to my requirements, is incredibly well insulated and has no hidden horrors waiting to catch me out. So good luck with your search, but if you are handy, it is worth considering the self build route.
