I bought our T5 van with a poptop roof fitted. I cannot find a manufacturers name on it. Like many other poptops the roof is held down by straps that pass through a cam buckle. In recent high winds my van has been a nightmare to drive as, in my view, the roof cannot be pulled down tight enough. I suspect I may need to fit some type of retaining clip on the outside of the roof. Anybody had a similiar problem and what has been the solution? Thanks in advance
Try taking it to a place that does conversions in your area, or indeed a place that actually does pop top roofs. They will give an assessment of what is required.

Can't be too much help but our roof is Reimo. No name outside but it's woven into the tie down straps. Ours is a rear lifter so only one strap at the front. In high winds it sounds horrendous but it hasn't proved a problem in 21000 miles since fitted. I think a SMC roof has a tag somewhere.
