Hi, I have a 1999 coachbuilt motorhome on a Ducato base. It currently has two captains seats but I would like to replace the passenger with a double bench seat to provide an extra belted seat. I found a similar thread from a few years ago but it didn't answer my question..... I would like to know if seats from newer vans are likely to be a straight forward fit?
I hope someone can help,
Many thanks

It is possible to fit a dual seat from the next generation van to yours but it isnt really straight forward it depends on your ability I did the job taking my time in about 2 hours it also depends if you want it to lift up or not.

GERONA, you say "the next generation", any idea when that is? mine is a 54 reg & have been having thoughts on this.
Assuming I fitted a bench in place of passenger seat would that close off access from the cab into the rear?

Yes sort of there is small gap but essentially you would have to crawl over the seat or use the habitation door.
The easiest way is to use a dual seat out of 2003 to 2006 Citroen Peugeot or Fiat. The later c25o cab one is a lot trickier to use.
