Blue badge holders

When I visit the podiatrist in Truro the only place nearby to park is a road with a sign saying no cars or motorbikes except for access. As it’s a wide road with cars parked everywhere with blue badges I have assumed if visiting it is ok to park there. However the clinic have informed me that the traffic wardens visit this road three times a day and give all the blue badge holders a ticket. To avoid getting a ticket you must get a tempeory permit from the clinic. Just thought I would warn other people.

My hubby has the blue disabled badge and we found Weymouth to be very unfriendly in its parking when we had the motor home. He wanted to buy new trousers from M&S and the 4 disabled parking were full, so we parked across the road where signs say, parking allowed for cars, motorcycles only. We had barely got the doors closed when the Traffic Warden told us we couldn't park a Motor Home there, not even with a disabled badge, not even for the length of time it took to buy new trousers!! We were directed to a car park where we could park for free, I said that was no good, it was too far for hubby to walk!! The Traffic warden wouldn't budge so we went round to the Council Offices to put in a complaint and offer our point of view. The directed us to the Policestation who in turn pointed us back to the Council. We gave up and never went shopping in Weymouth again!! P.S. Cars without a blue/orange badge were frequently parked in the spaces allocated for such!!!!!! I never saw them get a ticket either. It seems they had a downer on motor homes.
