I would expect (without a trade in) a considerable discount if I were paying buy Cheque / debit card. NOT with a card ie, not paying for it out right.
However, the Benimar brand is only available to buy new (UK)at a Marquis dealership. So you really do not have haggle or wriggle room with them, unless you do not have a trade in. Benimar are part of the Trigano Groupe....a very well respected company. We spent a lot of time at Shepton Mallet show looking at Benimar 'vans. Took us a long time to eventually make our choice. Sorry it was not in our case a Benimar.

No trade in, so cash buyers , maybe a little more wriggle room left.
What was the reason you didn't go for the Benimar?
The ONLY reason we never went with the Benimar. We were more than happy with our dealer who we had 2 other new vans from. We believe that the relationship we have with them is priceless. ( Even answer their mobile phones on a Sunday lunch time)They gave us a fair price for trade in, and it was sold within 2 weeks of them having it. They had ordered our new one in, gave us a build week of the 1st week of April, and we picked her up 6th May, and this far have had 20 nights in her. We are housebound at the moment, and are champing at the bit to get away again. We have the builders in, for THREE WEEKS. Just not a suitable time. BUT that is how the cookie crumbles. Enjoy your new van. We love ours.

Hopefully Marquis will be the same not holding my breath as they are a large dealership. Say delivery in Septemper but still not sure of new spec. I hear it is alloy wheels, driver cab layout upgraded & furnishings updated.
Not sure about not being able to haggle at Marquis, Austin. I bought a new campervan off them last September. Their website ad' stated 'Make us an offer', so I did, and saved £6K.
Ronecc, You are fortunate with regards the price you paid. Great deal at a bargain?, nice van you have also. The reason I said it may be difficult to haggle on the Benimar is because they (Marquis) are Unique in that no other dealership sell Benimar. Marquis are probably the largest company selling Motorhomes, as they have many dealerships around the country. They are a very good company, and we have always been made welcome when looking around. But the prices we were asked to pay, of the vehicles we have been interested in, have been beaten by our dealer we have now used 3 times. These 3 vans being widely available at many dealers. The fact that this vehicle is exclusive to Marquis made me think that it would probably have a rarity value.
Autocruise have been responsible for me spending a whole load of dosh. I was a rep travelling around the country, and decided to take a break and wander around the motorhomes on a dealer forecourt.....WRONG!..I fell in love with the idea of this way of life, and the van that convinced me to join rather than buy a narrowboat, was an Autocruise Star Spirit...This was 2007/8...and since that time have had 3 brand new ones, none of them Autocruise. Funny 'ol world init. LOL.
