The magnetic strips on my front Remis blinds will not hold together and I wonder if this a common problem. Our MH is 15 months old, and while away in France in September I met someone with a 2016 van who had the same problem. I know it isn`t a huge issue as I just put a clip across the 2 handles but does anyone else suffer with this?
I initially thought that it might be the positioning of the rear view mirror.
If you've never been able to get them to meet and stick them it may be the rear view mirror that's the problem but if they did work but now don't work then it's easy to replace them.
Have a look on Ebay for replacement strip - SELF ADHESIVE MAGNETIC CRAFT TAPE - STRIP A, B & MULTI POLARITY, FRIDGE PICTURE – it doesn't cost much and in the long run is better than messing about with holding clips.
On mine one side of the magnetic strip came unstuck from the blind and was still hanging on the other strip by magnetism it was barely noticeable that it had happened, so make sure the strip is in both sides.
Front blinds, other half INSISTS a strong elastic band is passed around the 'joined' left and right hand blind, where the clips are to hold onto when pulling them across. They look fine and give privacy....but secure they are not.
