I'd avoid the Talbot express. I had one - No power steering, terrible gear change and wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding - but it was reliable.
I had one too, a 1993 Symphony. It had power steering. I had a new clutch fitted when I bought it and it was a lovely van. I’d buy another any time if I was in the market.
Ah, my Talbot was 1987 or 8. It was totally reliable and we had great holidays in it, but oh that horrible gear change and lack of power - especially in the Swiss Alps!
