I bought a MH with a functioning solar panel charging unit - now it seems the LED status light for charging the battery is no longer coming on, even when the panel is in full sun.
I have checked what timer program the unit is no and that should be set ok as it is.
The only troubleshooting the manual says is that the wiring should be checked to see if connections tight, which they are.....I have no idea what else to check
Could it be a battery problem - it is charging from the hook up
Thanks, it was working OK and the controller is a good quality one, could it be that if the battery is depleted it will not draw the current from the panel?
I think the only way to check now is to get up on the roof of the van and get to the wires coming out of the panel, it may mean releasing its fixings, if no charge from them, then the panel is kaput.
Check the connections to the Battery. We bought a MH with Solar and the connectors were very dodgy one slight movement and the lights on the solar control panel would go out. You could also get a battery tested and test to see if the battery holds a charge.
