I only found out on my last holiday in France, that the rear end of my van is higher than the front, so if you park on a level pitch the rear end is higher, knowing this made it easier when siting my Autocruise, depending on the slope, either driving on or reversing, so, on a level pitch I always need chocks on the front, simple's hey.
Agree 'Art'!
We have had 4 Ducato based motorhomes over last 16 years or so - all have been slightly 'nose down' so we have always used chocks on front wheels on level pitches.
When possible we park slightly up-hill so chocks not then needed. Have found from experience can normally get van level by 'eye'! (We sometimes use a spirit level on edge of cooker - not good to have hot pans moving sideways!)
Rumour has it that if a Ducato is level on a flat pitch then the rear axle is almost certainly over-loaded! (white van man style ...)
