Our MH is 26 years old so I am finding it difficult.....impossible to get UK & European Breakdown.
I may wing it as I have coop EveryDay Extra account which comes with Breakdown - our MH just about fits in the weight, length restrictions and I can find nothing written about age of vehicle. However I am insuring it for 2 weeks for my son (21st birthday present) and he wants to do a France road trip - he doesn't have Everyday Extra account.
Any suggestions on where to get breakdown insurance for an old MH or any experience of coop everyday extra breakdown age restrictions? I'm hoping someone out there has an oldie like me :-)
My van is 19 years old and my current insurers SAGA have been more than happy to provide full cover for breakdown and recovery. Maybe best o ring your insurer.
Thank you for your replies - I'll try Adrian Flux and my own insurers. I also realise I now qualify for SAGA which I'm not sure whether I should be happy or sad about! 50 is the new 40, so I've been told
Our breakdown insurance for the 25 year old that we had until recently was part of our AA Relay cover for us & the car. The AA attended us about once a year (2 alternators in 10 years, several fan belts, broken clutch part, brake drum seizing, dead glow plugs and the scary 2 blow-outs with tyres more than 5 years old.) When the renewal came in high, I phoned them & the Relay part of the fee is now complementary.
The insurance for accident repairs, theft etc was through C&CC. That insurance didn't cover roadside repairs or being taken back to our own garage a day's drive away if repair wasn't possible.
