Hi
Read on this forum about a couple of companies that make, repair and services Motorhomes. I seem to remember Beverley and Mexborough or Rotherham were mentioned.
Could anyone recommend a place to take Motorhome for service please? Hull, Beverley, Rotherham are all just up the road for us.
Cheers
Ps.
The man who serviced our caravan came to storage site. But I prefer to take Motorhome to garage so if there is anything wrong they will have the parts to fix it.

Cheers

Do you want a vehicle service or a habitation service or both?

Habitation Rob. We have done more than a couple of thousand miles this year.
But if it is the right price I will have both done.
Cheers

We are not in your area for either of the services you need doing. However I would suggest trawling the internet to find a local MH dealership who would be able to do both habitation and front end motor service. It is a good idea to build a relationship with any wallet emptying demanding exercise.

Seen reviews on here for The Caravan Man in Sheffield Austin's. Thinking about going to him because he looks good.

Corni, you are going to get shafted wherever you go so depending on the extent of the insertion please research carefully. Yes, I've been there, done it, got the cheque stubs to prove it. It's a jungle out there and we are the monkeys!

When we had a motorhome we used a servicing centre for commercial vehicles for the motor service and mobile. Caravan servicing for the habitation. We were advised, however, that a full habitation service is not needed but a water ingress check and safety of gas and electric. At the end of the day, you know if your window blinds work and if the light's come on when you click the switch.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.

I notice that this post has had a couple of additions of late.
Corni did you sort your engine service and habitation check?
Like I said previously, it is quite difficult to have the mechanical and the habitation places close together.
The post above mine is a good idea for the motor part of the vehicle. Commercial vehicle establishments have top class mechanics, and they can lift even the largest of motorhomes. Caravan service centres are easily found, as most are attached/part of Caravan Sales centres.
Quite a lot of the habitation check IS general DIY, but some needs knowledge of the workings within.

We always use the supplying dealer. I think MMM (Motorhome Monthly Magazine) publish a list of local service agents.
