If you mean a wind-out Fiamma type awning, yes you can. I am always suprised how many people I chat with on campsites that never use the awnings on their MH`s.
I wouldn`t be without mine.
We rarely use ours, mostly on sites where folk are walking across our pitch. It's not a wind shield and here in UK we want to sit in the sun. And some sites want extra money for an awning, even a wind-out one.
I would say that it feels more stable when it's wound out fully, as the roof bars are fully braced and the legs aren't out at their longest.
