Newbie here,

I'm converting a panel van to camper. I'm looking at Dacron versus Dodo Mat insulation wool. I'm based in Scotland, so looking for something that can handle a Scottish winter. Anyone with any experience of these?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find anything.

I have not used any of those two, I used 25mm celotex infilled with spray foam. This has kept me toasty over the last two scottish winters. Dacron has been used by converters to fill in the cavities that are hard to insulate, never heard any negative comments about it. Other people have used closed cell self adhesive sheets to do difficult curves

Never used them so cant give advice, we used celotex sheets on the big panels and filled the small areas with earth wool,covered that with double sided bubble wrap as a vapour barrier and seams sealed with silver foil tape. Ply lining with felt lining and it's been toastie for us. We are based in Glasgow and have done the nc500 and done the lake district with no problems, we have a small chinese diesel heater too cheers Paul
