I have a VW T5 bought secondhand this spring and converted a couple of years ago by CamperKing. It came with a Camping Gaz bottle which I emptied this weekend. My question is, can I change the fitting to use a calor bottle? I already have a calor bottle of a larger size. Is it just the fittings that are different? Is it easy to change? The pipe work fuels the hob and a grill.

I can't give a positive answer, but my first thought would be to check the regulator pressures. I think that Camping gaz regulators are 28-30 mb and Calor propane is 37mb. Don't know if your hob & grill would be happy with that. Perhaps the handbook (or label on the hob) would say what the acceptable pressure range is.
If it's OK, get a workshop to swap the regulators and test for leaks.

When you disconnect your camping gas bottle you will have the camping gaz regulator still a fixed to the gas supply hose.
You need to remove this regulator and fit the appropriate regulator for your calor gas bottle. Note Propane are red. Butane are blue and Calor are a greenish colour.
Next point. If it’s a treaded bottle connection they are a left handed thread.
Finally some of the newer bottles have clip on type regulators.

Re the above. Camping Gaz, Calor, Flogas and any other name are either Butane (blue) or Propane (red) That is all there is to it. You do need a regulator to suit the cylinder that you intend to use as different sizes have different connections. Propane is the left hand thread to avoid connecting a Butane cylinder. I have recently changed my van from Camping Gaz to Calor. Purely based on price. No problems with this, just as I have never had a problem in the past. (Many years ago I worked in a Calor dealership) As always though, if in doubt, consult a professional.

If you have a skilled person to work on your gas then they will know what they are doing. If your van has a separate regulator bolted to the bulkhead then all you need is to change pigtail which is the rubber pipe from regulator to gas bottle.
Gas appliances in your van should work on any UK supplied gas bottle with correct fittings.

As said all you need to do is to change the pigtail, that's the pipe from the bulkhead regulator to the bottle, I would go for propane as its better for the cold months. As in it will still gas off at anything over -40, whereas butane isnt much good until is gets over 5°
