Just bought a new 100 amp leisure battery .We have a 120 watt solar panel and have been checking with the fully charged battery we've noticed the battery is discharging within twenty minutes of having only internal led lights on in motorhome can anyone advise why .
Have you got a proper solar panel controller. Without one the battery will discharge through the solar panel at night and overcharge during the day if it becomes fully charged such as from a mains charger.
Have you got the battery terminals connected the right way round?
If you have the solar panel positive clip on the battery negative terminal and visa versa then there's a likely chance that the battery will discharge although it should blow the fuse (if there is one) which I believe is located in the control box (if you have one in circuit) which has been asked in the above post by navver.
